Working title

The relationship between Uruguay and Germany was heavily influenced by the "Liebig" company and the "Liebig’s Extract of Meat". The extract where one
kilogramm is gained of thirty kilogramm flesh where bottled up in small cans together with a small picture card. These "Liebigbilder" (Liebig-pictures) where
the first big series of collectible cards in Europe. They showed scenes of other countries, ethical groups, the great chemist Liebig and many things more.
Many people in Europe used the pictures to imagine the world, the animals and the people living in it. The stereotypical representations led to form clichés, but also helped to learn about other cultures.

I want to recreate some of the "Liebigbild"-scenarios in a pantomimic way to question how prejudices can be build by bodylanguage and how these can be deconstructed again. I want to question the images that people have in their minds about other ethic groups and countrys. I think that this work between two countrys, divided and connected by a camera lens is a good opportunity for that subject.
A white can will probably be included that stands for the extract-canister to have a connection to the origins.
I will not just use one spot in front of the theatre, but will create a dynamic piece together with 3-4 people.
